Sarah Mayo: Site Facilitator II/PK-K-2 Teacher

I love working with EDEP! I have worked with EDEP for many years as a K-2 teacher and, currently, as the Site Facilitator. I have also worked as a British nanny for various families in London. I was born in Scotland and lived in British Columbia, Canada for a few years before moving to Charlottesville, VA.--many moons ago! I am also a mother of two adult children and a grandma of one wonderful little boy. I look forward to a great year with all of our wonderful EDEP students.

Marianne Gentry: 3-5 Teacher

I am currently the third - fifth-grade EDEP teacher at VL Murray elementary school. I have been an educator for 53 years. In 1964, I graduated from Salem international university, formally known as Salem College, with a bachelor’s degree in physical education. In 1973, I graduated from Gordon –Conwell theological seminary with a master’s degree in religious education. In 2005, I retired from the Albemarle County school system after having taught PE at Meriwether Lewis for 30 years. Since that time I have been substituting and working with extended day enrichment programs, which I enjoyed very much.
