2020-21 Admissions Process
THE DEADLINE FOR LOTTERY ELIGIBILITY HAS NOW PASSED; HOWEVER, LATE APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED THROUGH JULY 15 AND ARE ADDED TO THE WAITLIST IN ORDER OF RECEIPT.
Pursuant to ACPS Board Policy LC, admission to CPCS is determined by lottery on a space available basis, with the rising 6th grade class filled first. All eligible applications will be included in the lottery. Students must reside in Albemarle County to be eligible to attend CPCS. Once available seats are filled, the lottery continues to determine Wiating List order.

We offer three Admissions Information Sessions. Families can register for one or more of the information sessions here.
The admissions process also includes a Student Visit Day, which will be scheduled upon receipt of the General Information Form.
Late applications will be added to the Waiting List through July 15 in the order of receipt.
The primary purpose of the Admission Process (Packet, Parent Info Session, Student Visit, Questionnaires) is to ensure families and students have a deep understanding of our school philosophy, purpose, practices, and expectations to help them make decisions based on current and accurate information.

- Lottery Drawn and Families Notified: February 28
- Deadline to Accept Seat: March 13
- Families Admitted from Waiting List Notified: July 15
- 2020-21 Admissions Closes: August 1
