School Meals

Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) offers three options for families to access school meals:

  1. We provide meals on site to students when they are learning in our buildings.
  2. We operate a School Bus Meal Delivery Program that provides school meals to students along bus routes.
  3. We offer a School Meal Pickup Program whereby families may arrive at any of our seven service sites during designated midday pickup times to pick up meals.

For the duration of the 2020-21 school year, school meals will be provided free of charge, regardless of income level, each scheduled school day according to the 2020-21 School Year Calendar.

On Site Meals

When learning in our school buildings, all students are eligible to receive a nutritious breakfast and lunch. Currently, in Stage 3, school meals are delivered to students in their classrooms, and meals are eaten in classrooms or outside.

School Bus Meal Delivery Program

When learning virtually, all students and their siblings ages 18 and under can receive school meals along bus delivery routes. Meals, including a lunch for today and a breakfast for tomorrow, are delivered to bus stops based on program registration. To add your child’s bus stop to a delivery route, please register using the 2020-21 School Meals Sign-Up Form.

ACPS will continue to offer our School Bus Meal Delivery Program as long as the division is operating in Stages 1-3 of the Return to School plan. Meals may be picked up by the student or their representative. During pickup, we ask that you wear a face mask and practice social distancing.

School Meal Pickup Program

Beginning Monday, December 14, families may arrive at any service site listed below during the designated times to pick up meals, including a lunch for today and a breakfast for tomorrow. Meals are available to all students and their siblings ages 18 and under; no registration needed.

Please use the tabs below to locate a convenient pickup location.

ACPS will continue to offer our School Meal Pickup Program as long as the division is operating in Stages 1-4 of the Return to School plan. Meals may be picked up by the student or their representative. During pickup, we ask that you wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
