Schools understand the strengths and needs of the students and families in their community. The School Champion Initiative is designed to enhance the exchange of resources and expertise between schools and community organizations. These lasting partnerships are mutually beneficial, improve school learning environments, and provide meaningful support for schools, students and staff.

School champions give their time, talent, and treasure to help ACPS fulfill critical needs and create opportunities for each student to thrive.

What are the time and financial commitments involved?

A school champion relationship is co-created to be mutually beneficial. Your organization and school leadership will align school needs to your organizations capacity and skills. An agreement form outlining expectations will be completed by both parties.

Organizations that invest financially in schools can expect the following recognition levels:

Participate in an introductory call with ACPS staff and be matched with a school or network of schools
Meet with school leadership to learn about school needs and align on partnership expectations
Become a school champion and help each student thrive!
