Local sessions presented by experts in our community, specially designed for parents of children with disabilities. However, many of the topics are applicable to all parents, and as such, all are welcome.

The Life After High School Transition and Resource Fair
Provided through the collaboration of the Parent Resource Centers of Albemarle County Public Schools and the Piedmont Regional Education Program, this transition fair will be an opportunity for families of high school students with disabilities to find out about available resources and learn about the transition from high school to adulthood.  Presentations, exhibits, and information will be shared to prepare families and their students with disabilities for life after high school.
Time: 8:30 am to 1pm

A FREE parent friendly 5-week self-paced online  transition course:
Presented by PEATC in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Education

Learn about students with disabilities transitioning to adulthood. It is never too early to begin taking steps to prepare for the future!
