Using the App as Course Instructor

When you log in to the Professional Learning Management System mobile app:
- View a list of sections for courses you are instructing and courses you are attending.
- For sections with multiple class times, view a listing for each class time.
REMEMBER: Use of QR codes in taking attendance only marks those present for the section class time. For those who are absent, the instructor must use the Attendance button within the course to mark participants absent. In order for a course to be marked as Complete, all participants must be marked either "Present' or "Absent".
Take Attendance
Via Roster
- From your Courses list, choose the desired section or class time.
- Scroll to the Roster.
- Select participants to mark them as attending.
Selections save automatically.
Tip: To remove already-marked participants from the view, click Hide Attended.
Via Participant QR Codes
Each course participant is assigned a QR code that can be scanned to mark attendance.
- Before class time, access your section roster via the web application to print either participant name tags or table tents containing QR codes.
- If the participant has the Professional Learning mobile app, they can display their QR code to you.
- Choose the desired section or class time from your list.
- Scroll to the Roster.
- To open the QR scanner, tap Scan Attendee Code.
- Scan each participant's QR code from their name tag, table tent, or mobile device.
- Confirm that attendance has been properly recorded.
Via Section QR Code
Print a QR code for your section that participants can scan using their mobile app.
**QR code is specific to each class time within the section.
- Before class time, access your section roster via the web application to print a sign-in sheet containing the QR code.
- Post the sign-in sheet in the room before your class time.
- Participants use their mobile app to scan and mark their attendance.
