Food Safety and Sanitation
Food Safety and Sanitation plays a vital role in the daily operations of our school cafeterias. All of our food service managers are required to have successfully completed a serv-safe food safety and sanitation course recognized by the Virginia Department of Health. The Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) format has been implemented in all school cafeterias. This format requires managers to follow the purchased product through the various stages and temperatures from receipt to service. Our cafeterias are also inspected twice a year by the Virginia Department of Health.
