How to Get Involved
Our Migrant Education programs depend on volunteers to succeed. If you are interested in working with the migrant community, let us know! We need and appreciate your support.
University of Virginia Students
If you are a University of Virginia student interested in volunteering, please visit the Latino and Migrant Aid website to learn more. Latino and Migrant Aid is a program of Madison House, a student managed community service organization that places volunteers with Migrant Education. You may also contact Laura Brown at 434-296-3872.
Mary Baldwin and Bridgewater College Students
During the academic year, Mary Baldwin and Bridgewater College students have the opportunity to volunteer to tutor school-aged children who attend school in Augusta County or the City of Waynesboro, helping them with their academic work and learning English. To take advantage of this opportunity to get out in the community and help some deserving students, please contact Laura Brown at 434-296-3872.
If you are not a student and are interested in volunteering, please contact Laura Brown at 434-296-3872.

Items such as linens, towels, blankets, school supplies, and hygiene kits (a plastic bag with soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, wash cloth, shampoo, etc.) are also needed. For more information on monetary contributions and/or to donate materials, please contact Laura Brown at 434-296-3872.
