Our Mission
The mission of the Office of Intervention/Prevention Services is to provide purposeful interventions and support so that all children can learn and succeed. We embrace and collaborate with all departments in pursuing the overall mission of Albemarle County Public Schools to establish a community of learners and learning, through rigor, relevance and relationships, one student at a time.
Our Work
Our work is focused on providing services to our schools through a collaborative approach that is directed at "one student at a time." The following programs provide intervention and prevention services to children in our division:
- Adult Education
- Homeless Education
- International & ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
- Migrant Education
- Preschool
- School Based Intervention Team (SBIT)
- Special Education
- Title I
