Sept. 10 School Board meeting to begin at 5:30 p.m.

The Albemarle County School Board will meet Thursday, Sept. 10, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The meeting agenda includes interviews with candidates for the board’s vacant at-large seat.

The business meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m., with candidate interviews scheduled to begin at 5:52 p.m. Each candidate will have up to 12 minutes to make an opening statement and respond to the same three questions. The meeting is open to the public, but there will be no public comment period during the Sept. 10 meeting. The board will hold a public hearing on the candidates Sept. 17.

The Sept. 10 meeting agenda and candidate applications are available online. The meeting will also be livestreamed.

The board plans to appoint a new at-large member Sept. 24.
