What:
Albemarle County Public Schools will host a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction of the Albemarle Career Exploration Academy Lambs Lane (ACE Academy Lambs Lane). The event will feature remarks from school division leaders, local officials, and community representatives. Attendees will also hear from teachers and student ambassadors representing the Scholars Studios that will be housed at ACE Academy Lambs Lane.
When:
Tuesday, February 25, at 1 p.m.
Where:
2751 Hydraulic Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901
Details:
- Attendees should enter via Georgetown Green Road and follow event parking signs.
- In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be rescheduled for Thursday, February 27, at 1 p.m.
Why:
The ACE Academy Lambs Lane will assist ACPS with continuing to deliver and grow Scholars Studios. Each studio offers specialized content, hands-on experiences, and a supportive environment to help students explore and grow their interests and connect those interests to future careers.
Photo and Interview Opportunities:
Media representatives will have the opportunity to capture photos of the groundbreaking ceremony and interview key speakers, community members, and participating students.
