Tonight’s Budget Work Session Will Be Held Virtually

(ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Virginia)—Due to Virginia’s ongoing state of emergency, as announced by Governor Youngkin on February 18, and potentially hazardous road conditions from recent severe weather, the Albemarle County School Board’s February 20 Budget Work Session will be held virtually in accordance with Virginia Code § 2.2-3708.2, which permits electronic meetings during declared emergencies.

Tonight’s meeting will be live-streamed for public access at:

The meeting agenda, available on the division’s ElectronicSchoolBoard (ESB) portal, reflects this virtual format. The agenda includes the superintendent’s presentation of the Draft Funding Request. The budget work session, originally scheduled to follow the presentation, will be rescheduled and incorporated into a future meeting. Additional details will be shared following tonight’s presentation.
