Share Feedback on Two Proposed 2026-27 Calendar Adjustments
The Albemarle County School Board approved the 2026-27 school calendar on March 13, 2025. ACPS is now seeking feedback on two proposed adjustments to professional learning days within that approved calendar.
Proposed Changes
- Move the September 2026 professional learning day from Friday, September 25, to Tuesday, September 8, the day after Labor Day.
- Move the February 2027 professional learning day from Tuesday, February 16, to Tuesday, January 19, directly following Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The goal is to space professional learning days more evenly across the school year to make them more effective.
