Dear Families,

This is a reminder about what you need to do if you want to receive future text messages from Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS).

On Monday, October 4, we sent an invitation text to all phone numbers currently subscribed to receive text messages from ACPS. The invitation came from a 10-digit phone number beginning with area code (424). If you did not reply to or receive that invitation, but you would like to receive future text messages, please text the word “Yes” or “Sí” to the short code 87569.

Please note:

You must have your mobile phone number on file with your child’s school to receive text messages.
You only need to opt in your mobile phone number once to receive any text messages sent by ACPS.
Once you opt in, you will receive a confirmation text that your phone number is subscribed.
All future text messages will come from the short code 87569.
Not all messages shared by ACPS will be sent by text.

If you need to update your contact preferences, please contact your child’s school.
