More Reasons to Join Us at the 2025 Back-to-School Bash!
The 13th Annual Back-to-School Bash is just around the corner, and we’ve added even more to help your student start the school year strong! In addition to free backpacks and school supplies, families can now access free vaccines and sports physicals during the event.
📅 Date: Saturday, August 2, 2025
🕙 Time: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
📍 Location: Ting Pavilion, Downtown Mall
🎒 Need a Backpack?
Free backpacks and school supplies will be available at the event! We strongly encourage families to register in advance to help us plan and ensure we have enough supplies.
💉 Free Vaccines Available
The Blue Ridge Health District will offer Tdap, Meningococcal (MCV4), and HPV vaccines at the Herman Key Recreation Center during the Bash. No appointment needed!

✔️ Bring your insurance or Medicaid card, if available
🏃 Need a Sports Physical?
Planning to play sports this year? Thanks to our partners at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, free sports physicals will also be offered — just stop by the Herman Key Recreation Center between 10 and 12.

✔️ All forms will be provided on site
