Happy National Mentoring Day!

Every year on October 27, mentees around the nation take a moment to thank their mentors for the lessons that they have learned through their professional partnership during National Mentoring Day.

Launched by Chelsey Baker, an award-winning business mentor, the day is meant to encourage and celebrate mentoring partnerships in all forms. But here at ACPS, we encourage and celebrate these relationships all year round by having students participate in Work-Based Learning (WBL).

Through this curriculum, students investigate careers and gain insight into their strengths, interests and values through a range of WBL experience options, from short-term job shadowing to longer duration experiences such as internships, apprenticeships, service learning, and more. WBL brings relevancy to academics and helps students gain direction for future educational and career choices.
