About Us

The Office of Communications serves as the trusted bridge between Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) and the Albemarle communities. Through transparent, accessible, and consistent communication, the office keeps the community informed, engaged, and connected. We strive to foster understanding and trust while creating a shared responsibility to enable students to thrive. By amplifying diverse voices and facilitating meaningful dialogue, the Office of Communications strengthens confidence in ACPS and builds lasting relationships across the division and throughout the Albemarle County community.

Our Vision, Mission & Guiding Principles

Help Tell the Story of ACPS

Great things are happening across Albemarle County Public Schools every day—and we want to highlight them.

If you know about a student or staff achievement, an innovative program, a notable milestone, an upcoming event, or another story worth telling, we'd love to hear about it.

The Office of Communications shares stories through news articles, photography, videos, social media, the ACPS website, and other division communications. While we can't feature every submission, we review each idea to determine the best way to share it with our community.
