Communications

We’re here to help tell the story of Albemarle County Public Schools.

The Office of Communications helps keep our school division informed, connected, and engaged. We support clear and consistent communication with families, staff, and the broader community. We:

• Share news and updates across a variety of platforms, including the division website, electronic notifications (email, text, and phone), social media, and video.
• Collaborate with schools and departments to promote programs, events, and student and staff achievements.
• Coordinate media requests and help ensure accurate, consistent messaging.
• Support school and division leaders with strategic communications planning and training.
• Provide timely information and guidance during emergencies and urgent events.
• Listen to and learn from our community to improve how we communicate.
