Multi-Year School Support Plans

The Virginia Department of Education identifies certain schools for additional support under the Every Student Succeeds Act based on student outcomes and other performance measures. Schools identified for support are required to develop Multi-Year School Support Plans in partnership with the school division and school community.

Multi-Year School Support Plans are designed to guide continuous improvement over multiple years. Each plan is informed by school performance data, needs assessment findings, and stakeholder input. The plans identify priority needs, measurable goals, evidence-based strategies, and actions the school and division will take to improve student learning, growth, and overall school quality.

These plans are used by schools, the school division, and, when required, the Virginia Department of Education to monitor implementation, align resources and support, and review progress toward improvement goals.
