Albemarle County Public Schools utilizes an online registration tool to gather the majority of student information required for registration. Please use the links below to select the correct registration form and begin the registration process.

Our online registration form provides an opportunity for families to upload required documents. We recommend that you gather your documentation prior to completing our online registration form. If you do not have all of your required documentation at the time you submit the registration form, you will need to make arrangements with your child's school to provide the documentation.

The online registration form is accessible via standard web browsers found on most internet connected devices, including home computers, public computers available at local libraries, tablets, and smartphones (user experience will vary by device).

To receive on-site assistance with the enrollment process, please contact your child's school to schedule an appointment.

New Student Registration Form

The form linked below is for new student registrations. A new student is a student who is not currently enrolled in Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) and has not been enrolled in ACPS during the school year for which they are registering.

PowerSchool Enrollment Account (Required)

In order to complete the online student registration process, you will need to create an account with our registration partner (PowerSchool Enrollment) using your email address. Your PowerSchool Enrollment account will allow you to:

  • Start and stop forms as many times as necessary to complete them.
  • Reuse common data entered on previous registrations for new student registrations.
  • Modify submitted forms, including uploading required documents, until school approves form.
  • Retrieve a copy of submitted registrations.
  • Receive email notification that your registration form was submitted successfully.

Please Note:

  • If your child is currently enrolled in Albemarle County Public Schools, please visit our Registration Verification page for more information about our annual registration information update process.
  • If your child is returning to Albemarle County Public Schools during a school year in which they were previously enrolled, please contact your child's school for information on how to re-enroll your child.

Registration Help & Support

The type of assistance you need with student registration will determine where to go for help:

  • General questions about the registration process, required documentation, or eligibility to attend an ACPS school should be directed to the school your child will attend.
  • Specific questions about the purpose of any data collected on the registration form or about how to answer a specific registration question should also be directed to your child’s school. View a list of ACPS schools and phone numbers.
  • School Registrars can also assist with password resets (when the Forgot Password link doesn’t help) and with determining email addresses associated with existing PowerSchool Enrollment accounts.
  • For technical assistance with the online registration tool and issues with your PowerSchool Enrollment account, parents should visit the PowerSchool Enrollment Family Support website anytime for Knowledge Base articles, community forum, and PowerSchool Assistant chat, which can connect you with a live support engineer.  (English & Spanish)

Ayuda y Apoyo de Registro

El tipo de ayuda que necesita con el registro del estudiante determinara donde buscar ayuda:
