Registration Steps

Please follow the steps below to enroll your child in ACPS:

  1. Review admission requirements.
Albemarle County residents whose children meet the age requirements defined by the Commonwealth of Virginia, along with certain non-residents of the county, are eligible to attend ACPS.
  2. Determine your school attendance area.
ACPS determines which of our schools your child will attend based on your physical (home) address.
  3. Prepare to present required documents.
In order to enroll your child in ACPS, state law requires you to provide certain information to the school division. Our online registration form provides an opportunity for families to upload required documents. We recommend that you gather your documentation prior to completing our online registration form. If you do not have all of your required documentation at the time you submit the registration form, you will need to make arrangements with your child's school to provide the documentation.
  4. Complete an online registration form.
ACPS uses an online registration form to collect the information used to enroll your child in one of our schools.
