Student Led Technology Teams
Jouett Middle School and Walton Middle School are two of many ACPS secondary schools that have implemented Student Led Technology teams.  This exciting and growing program offers schools and students a unique opportunity.
 
Why does ACPS support Student Led Technology teams?
 

-Participation encourages students to take a leadership role in their school community and a greater responsibility in their education particularly around the use of technology as a tool to support learning.


-Student Tech team members experience unique learning opportunities that encourage skill development that align to our Lifelong Learner Standards, which are geared towards preparing our students to be college and workforce ready upon graduation.
 
What role does a Student Led Technology team play?

-Provides basic technology troubleshooting support to fellow students and teachers.

-Provides support to staff and students around how to use software installed on student laptops.

-Demonstrates digital skills and models safe and responsible use of technology.

-Exhibits excellent customer service when interacting with staff and students.

-Runs hardware diagnostics on student laptops with reported issues.

-Communicates and collaborates with school based Client Service Specialist.
