The Albemarle County Public School Division has implemented an

Environmental Management System (EMS).

An EMS is a set of processes and practices that enable an organization to reduce its adverse environmental impacts and increase its operating efficiency.



 

Pollution Prevention (P2) Initiatives

Pollution Prevention reduces the hazards to public health and the environment associated with the release of harmful substances, pollutants and/or contaminants. Pollution Prevention is a major tenet of our Environmental Management System (EMS).
