Rock & Rap/Music Production Academy

"If music be the food of love, play on." ~ William Shakespeare; Twelfth Night

What Do I Need to Know?

The Music Production Academy is a performance based program for middle and high school students who wish to experience the excitement of creating and producing music with expert teachers who have experience in the fields of performance and recording.

Students of the Music Production Academy will find themselves immersed in the process of writing, recording, producing, and performing music. Each day students will have clinics led by working professionals from the music industry, participate in writing and performance workshops, and work collaboratively with other musicians on their own original songs under the guidance of Academy teachers.

All genres of pop and modern music are welcome and appreciated and all levels of musicians from beginner to expert will experience the satisfaction of making music. Students must supply their own instruments; there is a place for musicians at every level of experience. All instruments are welcome!

You can see a video of some of the work the students have accomplished at this link.

The Music Production Academy will be Monday, July 9-Friday, July 13, 2018 from 9:00am-1:00pm at Albemarle High School (2775 Hydraulic Road Charlottesville, VA 22901).
