Extended Day Enrichment Program

EDEP STaff

Albemarle County Public Schools' Extended Day Enrichment Program (EDEP) provides quality attention, thoughtful guidance, authentic experiences, and engaging activities to enhance and expand the learning of Albemarle County students. EDEP is operated by the Department of Community Engagement in collaboration with each elementary school. It provides a safe and enriching environment for over 1,000 elementary students. Our programs are self-sustaining, funded entirely by the tuition and fees collected for their use.

EDEP operates two child care programs, including an After-School Enrichment Program (ASEP) at every elementary school and a Student Holiday/Spring Break Program. Children must be at least 5 years old to attend either program. Registration is required and enrollment is limited.

EDEP serves students from Kindergarten (age 5) through Grade 5 who are enrolled in an Albemarle County elementary school. Eligible students may only participate in the After-School Enrichment Program at the school where they are enrolled.
