Training: CPR, AED, First Aid

​NEW Effective September 1, 2017, certification or training in emergency first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the use of automated external defibrillators that is required of every person seeking initial licensure or renewal of a license as a teacher shall include hands-on practice of the skills necessary to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.   If you would like to read more about this requirement, here are links to the memo and FAQ from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Education.
There are many options available to acquire this training – including the classes below. If you have had this training recently, you need to send a legible copy of your documentation to Michael Thomas. If you are unable meet this requirement for medical reasons, please send a doctor’s note for your medical file.
