Resolve to ' Be There ' for Your Children
 
A parent involvement campaign now underway in Albemarle County Public Schools and Charlottesville City Schools is reminding parents to simply "Be There" for their children. Being There means to be engaged with children so that they feel loved and valued. It does not require any special time or talent, or any monetary outlay. The campaign encourages parents to be their child's favorite teacher, searching for "teachable moments" in everyday activities, turning the ordinary, such as doing dishes or laundry or yard work, into the extraordinary as it becomes time spent engaged with your children.
